Silver Package
Full day training event
The silver package provides you with an engaging day working through the APMP competencies lead by a highly experienced proposal professional. You will be introduced to all the core principles that you will need, both to get you through the examination and to enhance your career as a bid / proposal professional. The training precedes the examination which you can choose to take as part of the day’s activities.
Examination fee
The cost of entering the APMP Foundation level exam is included in the Silver package price. You may choose to sit the examination as part of the training day or you can take the examination on-line at a later date in your own time.
Study Guide
You will be sent a copy of the APMP Foundation Study Guide (worth over £50) in advance of the training day. This document is an essential reference for anyone preparing a bid and will be a valuable tool for all the bids and tenders you are involved with in the future.
Glossary
You will also receive a copy of the APMP Glossary of Terms, itself worth over £30. This document supports the Study Guide and demystifies much of the old and current terminology you may encounter across a range of large bidding and tendering organisations.
Sixfold’s “Secret Weapon” examination aid
Only available to candidates studying with Sixfold, this quick reference guide can earn you vital seconds during the examination and lead to higher marks.
Lunch and refreshments
The training and examination take place over a full day, so we make sure that you are well nourished throughout your time with us.
City centre location
The London course will be held in a Zone 1 location and the Manchester course within a few minutes of Piccadilly Gardens.
Gold Package
The Gold package includes all of the Silver package contents, plus:
6 months ‘on-the-job’ telephone support
For a period of six months after the event, a Gold candidate is able to call on Sixfold’s team of bid professionals to assist over the phone with any aspect of their job or bid. This could be advice on:
- How best to prepare and run a kick-off meeting
- How to approach dealing with difficult procurement people
- Whether or not to consider challenging a procurement decision
- Any other aspect of the bid and tendering cycle
Exam retake (should it be necessary)
If in the unlikely event you should fail the examination, there will be no charge for a retake (normal APMP charge £250). Moreover, you will be invited to join another Foundation day training course, should you wish to attend, before you resit the exam.
Sixfold “Author’s Guide”
This guide is a comprehensive set of templates and instructions you can tailor to meet your own bid standards and then issue to all bid contributors for their guidance. It sets the approach that all contributors should take when preparing their contributions and how they should work with bid management to uncover risks and minimise rework of their text. The document has been created based upon the lessons from many large bids and tenders. This document is provided in electronic form so you can incorporate your own processes. However, it is a full set of instructions that will work without modification. It covers both commercial and Public Sector bids.
Assisted Membership
It is a relatively complex task to undertake the APMP membership application process on the APMP website and it requires you to pay from your own funds. Then you may have to claim it all back from your business. Using the Sixfold Assisted Membership process, you can now get a single invoice to cover both the course fees and your membership (one year) and we will complete the entire membership application process for you.
